It was refreshing to see this amazing girl’s thoughts and hear things from her point of view (the first book is told in Leo’s POV). I am as enchanted with Stargirl now as I was when I read Spinelli’s first novel about her. The entire novel, especially the ending, is magical. Through small kindnesses, unexpected friendships, and leaving behind lots of oranges, Stargirl makes as much of an impression here in Pennsylvania as she did at Mica High–maybe even more. As the story progresses, Stargirl changes from a stranger to an integral part of her new hometown. Betty Lou, particularly, has a special place in my heart because she gives some of the best advice I have ever heard when she tells Stargirl to live in the now and make the most of each today that she finds. Spinelli brings in a lot of memorable characters. The story reads as a year-long letter to Leo as Stargirl lives life as only she can and tries to understand how things went wrong with Leo and what her feelings are for him now. She has left Mica High in Arizona and, more importantly, her boyfriend Leo. Love, Stargirl picks up where Stargirl left off. At first, I didn’t think that this book could be as good as it’s “prequel” Stargirl, but now I’m hard-pressed to say which was better. And I have not been able to pick up another book because I don’t want to lose the feeling of satisfaction that came from finishing it. Love, Stargirl should be read by teens who have read Stargirl and would like to see her story come to a close.I just finished Love, Stargirl (2007) by Jerry Spinelli ( find it on Bookshop). Although, some of the events seem to be thrown in just for fun, they all tie up the book fairly well. Stargirl's story starts off slow, but captures your attention early on. The are all very much alive in the eyes of the reader.
Love, Stargirl is spewing with characters that are unlike anything you could ever find in the fiction world. In Love, Stargirl emotions area clearly shown but the intentions of characters including Stargirl's were sometimes hard to grasp.

Although to see the full effect of those changes the reader must first complete the book.
The book Love, Stargirl also shows how friends can cause a great amount of change. Jerry Spinelli shows how a circle of friends lifelong friends can show you who you truly are and how they can help heal an injured heart. Love, Stargirl is an enlightening story of a girl who finds herself and learns to be at peace with her past with the help of a very wise but strange group of friends, who also let go of their fears along the way. The more Stargirl thinks about never being able to see Leo again the more unhappy she becomes. At on point she says to herself “Leo Save me from an empty wagon ”. She cries about it almost everyday, so she has never given herself a chance to move on. She hasn't gotten over their break-up at all. During the summer Stargirl hangs out with a six year old named Dootsie and she gets a job as a gardener. Stargirl's confidence took quite a few fatal blows while in high school. The story starts off only a few months after Stargirl and her family leave Arizona. The sequel to Stargirl's first high school experience is set in a very small town in Wyoming.
